It’s a trip down memory lane, otherwise known as yearly reflection. Undertaking this process is not for nostalgic reasons, but is an essential tool for personal and professional growth.
It’s important we learn from our Challenges, adjust and adapt and Celebrate the Wins along the way to reflect on the year that has been.
Reflecting on the year that has just taken place allows you to paint a clearer picture of what you want the next one to look like. It can help you to craft goals and strategies that will take you and your business forward.

2023 In Review
2023 seemed to pass in the blink of an eye, and as we reflected on all the great things that happened, we can now see why.
Join us in a celebration of our 2023 successes:
January – Stocktake
Duncan kicked off the year with a stocktake on January 3rd.
February – Celebration
In Feb we celebrated 3 years of officially being named Cadenze Partners Pty Ltd. It was a fascinating look back on how far the business has come in a short time and made us think about where we wanted to be in another 3 years!
March – Connection
March was a month of connection and development as the team skilled up, formed closer bonds, and supported valuable initiatives:
- Duncan helped raise funds for an exceptionally deserving cause – the Royal Life Saving Society’s annual charity Golf Day
- Duncan connected with our team visiting them in the Philippines
April – Recharge
It is important to take time in the year to rest and recharge. Fortunately, April is the ideal time to do that over the Easter break.
May – Personal Celebrations
Not all celebrations have to be business oriented. It is also important to celebrate the personal milestones you reach, like a particularly important birthday with a ‘0’ at the end. Duncan had one of those in May and we had a great time helping him celebrate it.
June – Professional Celebrations
The opportunity to celebrate professional achievements is huge, so embrace them with both hands when they arise. In June, we got to celebrate two big ones:
- Simone celebrated 10 years with Cadenze, and we celebrated how much we appreciate her contributions to the business and the team as a whole
- Kelly had the exciting opportunity to attend a Leadership Lunch where Layne Beachley was the keynote speaker
July – New Beginnings and Nurturing
New beginnings signify exciting things to come. And we had two great new beginnings in July. The first was having Anita Chand join our team with all her expertise and knowledge. The second was implementing the security app Password Boss to protect all the sensitive data we store for our own business and for our clients.
August – Professional Development
August was a learning month for Cadenze, literally! We celebrated all kinds of professional development opportunities with the Cadenze Annual Conference, Xerocon and a visit from Jeff.
We also had another professional milestone where we celebrated 10 years of having Jane’s skill and expertise here at Cadenze.
September – Personal & Professional Wins
As Spring rolled around, our very own Kat got married and we celebrated a heart-warming new beginning and on the professional front, Jeff celebrated 7 knowledge-filled years with Cadenze.
October – R & R
Close to the end of the year, but not quite there yet, October is the perfect opportunity for some rest and relaxation. Taking a break now prepares you to hit the last quarter of the year with energy and motivation. Which is exactly what Kelly did on her well deserved trip to Europe!
November – Recognition and Reward
It is exciting when hard work and dedication pay off. We got to recognise Jeff’s commitment to Cadenze when he was rewarded with a promotion to Manager in November.
Jasmine and Simone also got the opportunity to connect with the team in the Philippines.
December – Celebrating Others
A rising tide lifts everyone and we love to celebrate the achievements of our colleagues, friends and family. December has given us a great opportunity to do that with some exciting developments:
- Two Cadenze children achieved their HSC proving that the future is looking bright!
- We welcomed the amazing Carmen as our new CSC
- Duncan and Kelly had the privilege of attending the Richard Branson Inspire Succeed Conference
Review And Plan
Whew, what a year it has been! Now, we can look to the year ahead to create a strategy and plan for how we will shape our business in 2024.
